Coffs Harbour and Sawtell fishing spots
Coffs Harbour's sheltered harbour, historic jetty and breakwalls make easy land-based fishing for bream, tailor, trevally and luderick, while Coffs, Boambee and Bonville creeks hold whiting, flathead and jacks. Offshore, DPIRD lists the local shoals as snapper hot spots (best April to October), with Spanish mackerel from February to May. North of the harbour wall is the marine park.
