Mandurah and the Peel-Harvey fishing spots
Mandurah's Peel-Harvey estuary is famous for blue swimmer crabs (closed 1 Sep-30 Nov) and summer yellowfin whiting on the flats. The Mandurah channel, Dawesville Cut and marina walls carry herring, tailor, skippy, squid and salmon; the Murray and Serpentine rivers hold big black bream; and the 4WD beaches south of town produce tailor and mulloway.
