Gove (Nhulunbuy) fishing spots

The Gove Peninsula in north-east Arnhem Land, around Nhulunbuy, Melville Bay and the Dhimurru Indigenous Protected Area. Clear water, islands and reefs give trevally, queenfish, mackerel, golden snapper and coral trout, with barra and jacks in the creeks. You need permits to go ashore in the recreation areas, and ciguatera is a real risk around the outer islands.
