Cooktown and the Endeavour River fishing spots

Cooktown fishing centres on the Endeavour River, with its wharf, mangrove banks and sand bars, and the Annan River just south. Expect barramundi, jacks, fingermark, queenfish and trevally in the rivers, rocky bays and points for land-based casting, and reefs a short run offshore. Much of the water off town is yellow zone, so it is one line and one hook each.
