Lucinda and the Herbert River fishing spots
Lucinda guards the southern entrance to the Hinchinbrook Channel. The Herbert River delta, Seaforth and Enterprise channels and the mangrove creeks hold barramundi, jacks, grunter and fingermark, while the pylons of the 5.8 km sugar jetty draw queenfish and giant trevally. Taylors and Forrest beaches lie to the south and the Palm Islands offshore. Winter is prime for queenies and mackerel.
