Townsville and Magnetic Island fishing spots
Townsville anglers fish Cleveland Bay from the Strand jetty, the rock walls and the Ross River, chase barramundi, threadfin and jacks in the Bohle and other mangrove creeks, and cross to Magnetic Island for jetty and bay fishing. Grey, school and spotted mackerel run through the bay in the cooler months. Much of the bay and the island is yellow or green zone, so check the map.
